Stonebridge Awarded GoingPro Talent Fund Grant

Stonebridge companies have been utilizing the benefits of the Going Pro Talent Fund to educate and train employees. The Going Pro Talent Fund provides funding to employers to assist in training, developing, and retaining current and newly hired employees. For a business to qualify for funding it must submit an application and meet 3 criteria.
1. Training funded by The Going PRO Talent Fund must be short-term.
2. Training must fill a demonstrated talent need experienced by the employer.
3. Training must lead to a credential for a skill that is transferable and recognized by industry.
Stonebridge first received training plan approval from GST MichiganWorks! in late 2023 and has extended the opportunity to employees to earn technical certifications, increase their skillset, and learn about jobsite safety. With the help of the Going Pro Talent Fund Stonebridge Companies have been able to hold technical trainings such as; Hydraulic Specialist and Basic Blueprint Reading and Drawing Interpretation. The program has also helped our field service technicians and machine builders get certified or continued training in: Overhead Crane and Rigging, OSHA 10- General Industry and Forklift Safety. These trainings have helped Stonebridge educate employees to stay current with industry standards and trends.
Stonebridge Technical Enterprises President, David K. Hense, commented "As a recipient of a Going PRO training grant from the State of Michigan in 2024, the company has continued to train its staff in engineering and other technical fields, general job skills, safety standards, and more. As part of the grant, all employees completed formal training underwritten by the Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA). This training isn’t cheap but Stonebridge believes this specific level of further education is central to remaining relevant and at peak performance."
