Fenton, August 1, 2004 – Atlas Technologies, Inc. today announced the continuation of installations of metal fabricating equipment into the Chinese automobile and steel markets. Atlas Technologies, Inc. has in the previous 6 month shipped (5) large automated systems into China, they include:

    1. Sheet metal destacker, washer and stacker for the Shenyang Brilliance Jinbei Automobile Company LTD. The washer system is a fully automatic offline blank destacking system to pick up sheet metal blanks and remove foreign material via a programmable roll type washer. The system then applies a light coating of oil and re-stacks them in a dirt and dust free environment. This system has a capacity of 2-meter wide by 4-meter long blanks, and is capable of production speeds 12 strokes per minute.

 

    1. Front of line sheet metal washer and oiler system also for Shenyang Brilliance Jinbei Automobile Company LTD. The front of line washer/oiler system is specifically designed with features to accommodate both inner and outer sheet metal used in manufacturing process. The washer/oiler system automatically adapts to remove foreign material from the outer sheet metal material and allow for the bypassing of the inner sheet metal material. The second portion of the washer/oiler system applies a very light application of draw oil to the blank in preparation for forming in the stamping press. The system then automatically locates the part for robotic pickup and feed into the press line.

 

    1. Atlas Technologies, Inc. has installed (3) new In-line sheet metal washers for Chinese automobile companies: Liebao Automobile Company based in Changsha, Angang New Steel Company based in Anshan, and Tianjin Automobile Company based in Tianjin. The Atlas Technologies, Inc. blank metal washer system removes foreign material that has accumulated on the coil steel during creation at the steel-processing mill.

 

    1. Automatic turnover of bundled materials for the FAW Hainen Motor Co. LTD. based in Haiku-Hainen Province, China. The Atlas Technologies, Inc. automatic turnover systems will allow this company the ability to create right and left handed parts via only one blanking die. This saves the company by not having to purchase two very expensive blanking dies for right and left hand parts. The turnover system accepts stacks of sheet metal blank material and is automatically turned over in under 4 minutes.
