FENTON, MICHIGAN, October 19, 2004 -- Atlas Technologies, Inc., announced today the completion ten (10) automated End of Line racking systems for Ford Motor Company’s, Chicago Stamping Plant.

The Atlas Technologies, Inc. unique automated End of Line racking systems are being installed on Chicago stampings large transfer presses, as well as their intermediate size tandem press lines.

With the cooperation of the Ford Production Equipment Stamping Engineering (PESE) group in Dearborn, the UAW line teams at Chicago Stamping, The plant management, and Atlas Technologies these automated End of Line systems improve production, reduce ergonomic issues, improve floor space utilization, reduce part damage, and eliminate bottlenecks at the end of the line. Once parts are stamped, the automated End of Line system is an efficient and ergonomically safe system to place them into racks. Operator comfort was strongly considered in the design of the End of Line systems.

Features such as height adjustable tables, anti-fatigue rubberized decking, dedicated lighting, and fans were included to help keep operator fatigue to a minimum.
