Automatic Racking Systems (ARS)

The Automatic Racking System (ARS) transforms the end of your production line by delivering fast, intelligent, and fully automated part handling that improves efficiency while reducing labor dependency. Capable of processing up to 24 parts per minute, the system uses advanced vision technology and multi-robot coordination to accurately identify, inspect, and rack parts with minimal interruption, ensuring consistent throughput and maximizing uptime.

Designed for modern manufacturing environments, the ARS enhances productivity by streamlining material flow, reducing manual handling, and enabling seamless container changeovers without stopping production. Integrated quality inspection options further improve product consistency by automatically identifying non-conforming parts before they reach the customer, helping factories lower scrap rates, improve safety, and achieve higher overall equipment effectiveness (OEE).

Atlas Technologies ARS utilize industry-proven vision-guided robotics and vision-based inspection solutions using Double Win (DBW) equipment and technology.  Combining globally proven technology with U.S. content, and local service and support, Atlas delivers a single-source solution that speeds implementation, reduces risk, and improves production efficiency.

Base ARS Equipment

The Automatic Racking System (ARS) will be comprised of the following:

  1. The standard ARS has a fixed height conveying system.  An adjustable height conveying system for handling varying die pass lines is also available.  Tandem line ARS use a wide belt conveyor installed after the press for transition. The wide belt supports height adjustment and the downstream timing belt conveyor adopts a fixed-height design.  Transfer line ARS has parts feed directly from the transfer press onto the timing belt conveyor and the front section of the timing belt conveyor incorporates adjustable height if needed for varying die pass lines.
  2. Visual positioning system to locate exiting parts and transmit the information to the robot system.
  3. Four (4) Robots for Racking parts. Two on each side of the Exit Conveyor with Two (2) Rack positions per Robot (one working, one in reserve) as to not affect automatic packing process when changing part containers. Type of Robot TBD.
  4. Four (4) Base Floor Mounts to support each Robot.
  5. Four (4) Automatic Tool Changer (ATC) Mechanisms & Tool Changer Common plates.  (Servicing 4 Robots)
  6. Robot End of Arm Tools (EOAT), one for each part being ran.
  7. Eight (8) Container Positioning Stations to service four (4) robots.
  8. One (1) End of Line Exit Table (for NG parts bin or manual pack-out).
  9. Safety Guarding, Fencing and Safety gates.
