Atlas technologies provides a 7-cart robot mobilization system that facilitates the rapid change over of an existing 6 Press tandem line. Rapid change over is crucial to increasing uptime, reducing lot sizes, and reducing overall production cost.
In this case, Carts are used to carry robots to an ideal position for press tending and are secured to the floor during operation. During change over, the carts with the robots can be moved off line for End of Arm tool change. When moved off line, the press line is clear for die change.
The Robotic carts can also carry part nests, Vision tables, or part shuttles that complete the automation requirements for a particular application. They are designed to use the same tracks as the tandem line die change.
